Jatiluwih rice terraces is most famous for its landscapes that are both stunning and dramatic, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, Jatiluwih rice terraces comprises over 600Ha of rice fields that follow the flowing hillside topography of the Batukaru mountain range. These are well-maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as ‘subak’, which dates back to the 9th century.

Jatiluwih Cycling Tour begins near the Batukaru Temple and takes you past stunning landscapes to the world heritage site of Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, the most beautiful terraced rice paddies in the world. Led by an experienced local cycling guide, you’ll explore dense jungle, local villages and rice terraces.Eenjoy knowledgeable about this UNESCO-protected area, village life include rice and vegetable farming, ceremonies, family life and Balinese house compund. You’ll learn how to grow rice and learn how it’s cultivated and harvested by the local farmers.

Our experienced local cycling guide will led you throughout the tour and will answer any questions you might have. Stop at your leisure for photos to experience the magnificent views and surrounding.

Knowledgeable cycling guide, xc mountain bike, helmet, local snacks and fruit, lunch, drinking water, pick up and drop off from your hotel (Ubud, Sanur, Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua area’s).

This bike ride is suitable for people of all ages, we will cycle around 25km on flat quiet back roads, You should have reasonable bike skills to be able to navigate the varying terrain and wear comfortable shoes appropriate for cycling. Please note that there are also a few downhill sections in the ride and off road through the rice paddy fields.
